Joseph James Botto, 81, of Spring Hill, passed away Monday, November 21, 2011, at Oak Hill Hospital. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Mary (Trafficante) Botto and came here 12 years ago from Wildwood, New Jersey. Joseph is predeceased by his wife Rose R Botto. He retired from the City of Philadelphia Police Department as a police officer, a member of St Frances Cabrini Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Police, Local, Michael G Lutz, Lodge 5. Joseph is survived by his 2 sons John (Louise) of Spring Hill, and Gennaro of Galloway, New Jersey, daughter, Mary Ann Botto Murray (Thomas) of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, grandchildren, Christina, Gionna, Lacia, Marcella, Joseph, Santino, Thomas, Christopher, beloved pets, Vinny and Pia and friends. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 from 10am to 12:30pm at Brewer & Sons, Seven Hills Chapel. Mass will be held at St Frances Cabrini at 1pm. Joseph will be laid to rest will his loving wife, Rose, at Florida National on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 1pm with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations to American Cancer Society.
